Parking meters
| What are they? |
| They are fixed instruments used to pay for parking. They are the system most widely used to pay for parking and are found in all controlled parking areas except the Centro Storico and San Guglielmo parking lots where parking is paid at cash machines. |
| How do they work? |
| The parking meters accept payments made with rechargeable Cards as well as cash (coins only: 1 and 2 euro, 50, 20, 10 and 5 cents). Once payment has been entered, they print out a slip (indicating the starting and end times) which must be set in a visible position on the dashboard of the vehicle. Each parking meter clearly indicates the hourly rate applied for that parking area. The parking Cards can also be recharged from the parking meters. |
| How many parking meters are there? |
| Ferrara T.U.A. has a total of 68 parking meters. |
